About the Journal

The Journal of Agricultural Management and Development (JAMD) is a multidisciplinary open access journal dedicated to advancing knowledge across the agricultural, management, environmental and sustainable development fields. It brings together research that addresses real-world problems, relying on sound scientific inquiry and clear methodological rigour.

JAMD publishes original research articles and authoritative reviews that link theory with practice. The journal welcomes studies that test models with experimental evidence, explore new techniques, apply established methods to fresh challenges, or report significant developments in research practice. Contributions must speak to an international audience, and the journal occasionally publishes special issues on focused themes.

The journal offers a platform designed for fast and reliable dissemination of research. Its editorial process is handled by subject specialists who provide fair, objective, and timely evaluations. Authors benefit from a publishing experience that supports clarity, accuracy, and long-term visibility of their work.

Manuscripts are considered across a broad range of sections, including Agricultural Economics, Extension, Agribusiness, Agripreneurship, Project Management, Finance, Marketing, Resource Management, Cooperatives, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, as well as Forest and Water Resources, Climate Change, Biodiversity, and Sustainable Development.

Publishing in JAMD provides several advantages, including rigorous peer review, strong production quality, global accessibility, higher visibility and citation potential, perpetual archival preservation, and a supportive publishing environment.

The journal is published bi-annually in April and October by the College of Agricultural Economics, Rural Sociology and Extension (CAERSE) of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture. Both print and online editions are available to ensure broad dissemination of published work.
